Team Ellis Promotions is the brainchild of the famous Ellis boxing family, and is comprised of a team of boxing enthusiasts dedicated to bringing the sweet science back to its heyday. Events are coordinated by the youngest boxing promoter in Australia, Jake Ellis (son of former world champion Lester) and Aaron Ellis (son of trainer of the century Keith Ellis), with the assistance of an outstanding and highly supportive team.

Keith Ellis Jr
Rest in Peace to the Australian Boxing Trainer of the Century, the late great Keith Ellis Jr. "Keefy", as he was known by his fighters and friends started the Ellis boxing legacy alongside his younger brother Lester Ellis; training the baby-faced 19 year old to an IBF World Title in 1985 against Korea's seasoned veteran Hwan Kil-Yuh- making history as Ellis became the youngest Aussie to win a world boxing championship. Keith sadly passed away in 2015, but his name is cemented in the Australian boxing history books; having trained the most professional Australian champions in history!

What We Do
Giving young local fighters
a chance on the big stage.
Since the inception of Team Ellis Boxing Promotions, we have prided ourselves on giving younger, aspiring local boxers a chance to prove themselves on the ‘big stage’. Over the years, there have been a variety of highly talented, young boxers who have debuted or featured on our cards. Among those are notable talents such as top 10 world middleweight Michael Zerafa, Australian Bantamweight Champion Mark Schleibs, the late great Dwight ‘The Cowboy’ Ritchie, AFLW Star and 2-Division Australian Champion Tayla Harris and WIBA Super Flyweight World Champion Sylvia Scharper.
Old rivals, and dual Olympians Luke Jackson and Paul Fleming are also among those who have competed on a Team Ellis event. Legendary Australian trainer Billy Hussein has had several of his fighters compete on a Team Ellis card, including Jackson, Fleming and Billel ‘Baby Face’ Dib.
